Hi, I'm Miranda. I moved to the Okanagan 10 years ago for school, found a passion for wine, and built my career around it. West Kelowna has been my home for 6 years, where I live with my fiancé and our two dogs.
WHY I'M RUNNING
In May 2025, I got a letter about unexpected costs tied to the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant, and I wasn't the only one confused. That experience is why I'm running, and how my platform took shape.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Miranda. I moved to the Okanagan 10 years ago to attend UBCO, where I studied urban planning, tourism, and economics. Along the way, I found a passion for wine, and I've since built my career around it. West Kelowna has been my home for 6 years, where I live with my fiancé and our two dogs. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me on the golf course or enjoying a good happy hour.
WHY I'M RUNNING
I decided to run for council in May 2025, after receiving a letter about unexpected costs tied to the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant. I was frustrated and confused how this project, and so many others, could go so far overbudget, and how communication from the city could fall so short.I wasn't alone. Other residents had similar questions, and the same lack of answers. I found support in a local Facebook group, where admins worked tirelessly to dig up information and translate it into plain language so people could easily comprehend the situation.I believe people deserve to know what's going on in their own community. That's how my platform took shape.
MY PRIORITIES
accountability
I believe implementing efficiencies can help the city spend more responsibly, and residents deserve clear answers on where their tax dollars go. I want to see closer oversight on major projects before costs get out of hand, and projects held to their budgets and timelines, not just explained after the fact.
transparency
Information should be shared as decisions happen, not after. Residents shouldn't have to find out about a city decision when the bill shows up in their mailbox. I want to see updates communicated clearly and early, so residents aren't left digging for answers on their own.
accessibility
City information should be easy to find and easy to search, not buried in PDFs or hard-to-navigate pages. I want updates shared on platforms people use, using graphics and engaging content that's easy to comprehend.
